So it turns out it was my attempts to make the menu semi-transparent that killed it in IE. I’ve since modified the CSS to get the same effect, and IE ignores the opacity setting there, so now the menu works (as far as I’ve seen up to this point) in both FF and IE….

I loveloveLOVE your menu! I just installed the wp plugin and got it working for the most part, but can’t figure out where to enable animation. Can’t find it. Can you tell me?

Thanks for the feedback. If you haven’t discovered it by now, you need to update your plugin install. When Ryan updated his plugin at WordPress.org something went wrong and the Javascript files didn’t upload – so no animations. He’s since corrected the problem after I pointed it out to him, so it should be in working order.
And while I admittedly have contributed to the menu plugin extensively, it’s really Ryan’s plugin, I just enhanced his work by combining it with yet another person’s work.
Hopefully you’ll get it working soon!
